Tomorrow is the fourth of July and today was my first non still's related doctor appointment. I bought this dress a little under a year ago (in august) for the literal sole purpose of wearing it this year for fourth of July. I didn't know then that I would have the rug ripped out from under my world, and that what I'd originally hoped tomorrow would bring is not going to come to fruition. But life is ever moving forward, and if your life isn't what you want it to be right now- not for lack of trying, but for lack of opportunity: patience is always a virtue.
Being its so light and airy without being see through, I love this dress for a summer picnic, and being its red, white, and blue its perfect for a fourth of July celebration. I also especially love the vintage feel it gives off while the pattern almost modernizes it.
So with that I'm going to make sure my dog doesn't get too scared with the early fireworks people are already shooting. And have a happy and safe Fourth of July!
